A short trip to Thuringia - for skiing. Hotels in Neuhaus am Rennweg (since the Rennsteig is strangely Rennweg). Accommodation in a small hostel - the standard is now a little unusual. For the long run there are many trails and ski runs. For downhill skiers, it looks less good. For the longest run in the largest ski resort Thürigen silver saddle on Steinach need about 5 minutes. Also lacks a bit of the trappings, the infrastructure.
for a weekend it was fine. to stay longer seems only useful if you want to do multi-day ski trips.
