The burning of herbs and resins in various forms is one of many ancient traditions of our world. The fire acts here - in contrast to evaporate - as a mediator and transformation. Coarse Material substances are converted into smoke when burned, which carries the essence of a subtle level. This creates the connection with higher and finer levels. The meaning of smoking was and is to combine our earthly thinking through the smoke with the perception of subtle, invisible spheres. For it is the sense of smell, which represents the path to our inner world. This, by smoking broader sense, we can now find new ways to open our perceptions and to promote the Bewußstein.
